Mean Chick

I have a 4 week old FBCM Roo that is MEAN to me. I was cleaning them today and he pecked me every time I would reach in to take a chick out. He even broke the skin. He is very big compared to the others. I want to keep him because he is the best looking one out of the three suspected roos I have. Has anyone else had a roo this mean thsi young??

In my experience all chicks when young peck, I always thought its cause our fingers kind of look like worms.

I handle mine daily they do fine but even when they grow up if you have anything shiny on they will peck it as well as your eyes if not careful.

Yes but the funny thing is he grew up to be quiet docile, his bro on the other hand had to get the boot because he attacked boots while my kids were in them.
