Great!!! Now maybe the neighbor will mind his own business. It's such a shame that some folks have such meaningless lives that they have to try make others as miserable as they are.

Not long ago someone who had his RV parked in his side yard. Not a problem, the only restriction in the HOA rules was that it not be in the street. All it took was one neighbor lobbying to get it moved and to change the HOA rules.

This was voted on in 2008.....it was voted down. And I would be grandfathered into the existing HOA covenants.

So was the person with the RV. They changed the language to not allow any to be grandfathered and zero could be kept on the premise'. One of the major reasons I will never live where an HOA exists. If they get a majority they can write the rules any way they please.

In most cases, changing the CC&Rs is a lot like creating an amendment to the Constitution. Do-able, but difficult. Changing rules is much easier, but they can only change or create rules within the structure allowed by the CC&Rs.
