Mean old mama

I have an older chicken that I rescued and do not know her age. I then got 4 baby chicks from my local farm store. When can I put them together? I got the chicks on May 6th. I'm just guessing on the baby chicks age as I don't know how old they were at the store. I think the chicks are now pullets and the couple of times that I have exposed them old mama has gone after them. And I'm curious as to when the younger ones will start laying. I'm assuming that the farm store chicks are leghorns. I'll try to post some picutres.

Hi iris, have you tried to put them close to each other but so that they can’t reach each other?
That way they can get used to the other group!

Here's some great articles and how to integrate chicks with older hens. I think the best trick is giving them a place to hide inside the run once you have them all together.
