I think you might be right Papa Chaz, about him stressing the hens. We have 8 hens and 1 guinea hen, which I think our rooster has tried to mount. It seems he only chases our "white girls" (barred rock, sussex, and I think the other is a leghorn). The other five I have never seen him chase them. I think we will try putting "George" in time out and see if this helps the girls to relax some. Thank you for that info and I will let you know how things goes.
