Mean Rooster gone, Hens are Happy!

Our White leghorn Rooster, PJ became very mean, he has attacked humans numerous times, including my 4 year old granddaughter. We culled him on Saturday, and the hens seem to be ok with it. They have even become more freindlier just in the couple da ys.

I just had to do a similar thing with my Silkie rooster. It was heart breaking to have to give him up but the girls and I are sooooo much better with him gone. The girls are not yet quite as friendly as they were before he came in to maturity but I'm working with them and hope to gain all of that back. Good luck to you!!!

Besides, I have at least 3 RIR roosters that are 6 weeks old. I don't like a mean rooster!
