Mean rooster

Well it's looking more and more like the rooster is going to have to go! He's just plain mean aggressive. If their all like this one I don't know why anyone would want to have one around. He's a Production Red...pretty one to and young. He's already pecked me twice and my wife once and just recently come after our granddaughter. Can't have that! You just walk out in the yard and he comes trotting towards you...better be on guard cause he's sizing you up for that opportunity! Hope to find someone local willing trade for another hen.

I had some Red Star males sent to me as 'packing peanuts' with an order of exotics. What a pain in the butt! They are very aggressive and they eat like a bird 5x their size. Worst of all, they are so small that it's almost not worth the effort to butcher them.

Good luck finding someone to take him -- mine are all going to "freezer camp"!

They will be tasty! They are packing peanuts because nobody will buy them, and they have no future as flock roosters. They will have a good life until that last day, and if one is going for you now, make it soon! There are many very nice useful roosters out there, but not your current group. Mary
