mean turkey hens

I just bought a male for my 3 turkey hens the male and the females are ready to breed. The females lay on the ground ready for the male but as soon as the male tries to top them they get up and start biting his caruncles. Any ideas on how to fix this??

He is not mounting them properly because he is new at it. The girls are actually teaching him. Give it time. It isn't breeding season yet, they are all just practicing...LOL. Your boy will get the hang of it and start being the dominate one in the pen.
