Where do you get your cornish crosses from? Which hatchery has the hardiest birds from your experience?

It would be interesting to hear from folks like Jeff Brunty, BigRedFeather and others.

I get mine from a local farm supply. They are always straight run and cost about $1.10 each. They always throw in extra chicks making my total less, and since i started using DE i lose very very few birds. Also, I feed them a lot of yard clippings and such, so the overall cost is pretty low.

I'm thinking of trying Schlecht. Good or bad experiences? The prices are half the prices of Mcmurray for the Cornish crosses.
