meat chicken for are family ?

we have just started are first chicks. there rir x american game. the ones that turn out roosters we are going to eat. the rest leave for eggs. we are looking for a bird mainly for meat to put with theses birds. is there a breed of bird we can put with are egg type chickens and have them eat the same feed and still be able to get good tasting meat from? any breeds u think we should look for. we would like them to grow health but fast so we can get some better meat. hopefully this all makes sense.

any ideas?

Your going to want a seperate pen for your meat birds as they do require a different feed then your layers.

The pen can be small, preferably movable but doesn't need to be. The good part is your going to only have them for about 8 weeks.

If you can't do this the mutt roosters are the next best bet for your situation.
