I truely do not agree with how many he keeps in one tractor but it would be fine for small numbers. Yes, predators can get into them so it needs to be in an area that has low predators. I never had a problem with raccoons in mine and that is the biggest predator I have here. Here are my problems with that design: If you have to grab one out of there to check on it you are crawling threw chicken poo because it is so low and they won't stay near the door. It is hard to move everything if you do not attach the feed and water to the side. They poop so much that you have to move it several times a day to keep them from standing in their own waste. You can harm their legs if you pull too fast and one wants to be slow. My best advise is to make a hoop coop or free range. If you still want this design then try to move it often, put a pool noodle on the back bottom side to prevent injury by running over a leg, and attach a nipple waterer and the feed to the sides. They do not need a coop if you give them a sheltered area (tarp). I use these as my coop option for my meaties and free range them now.
