Meat chickens in bad health

I have inherited two meat chickens. They are way passed time to serve their purpose. Problem is they are absolutely horrid. Dingle berries are hanging from their rear ends and feathers have been ripped out by overly ambitious roosters. I couldn’t imagine eating them as is only putting them out of their misery. I need some suggestions at how to bring these poor things back to good health as I can not stand to look at them any longer. I’ve already rehomed the roosters but I’ve never seen them without mud butt before. What should I feed them to stop this from happening? Do they need to be on a different diet than laying hens? Are they sick beyond repair? They are probably a year and a half old.

Wow. Whoever bought them should have let them serve their purpose...a year and a half!!! Im astounded. IMO, i would put themout of their misery and if u cant find somebody who can. Poor things

They aren’t supposed to live that long are they? They seem to be bred for a purpose and have a hard time with the weight and one seems to have a foot injury. Maybe my husband can do the job for me.
