Meat Quail... bobwhite vs coturnix

I see a lot of people here are raising coturnix for meat. Bobwhites are bigger though, aren't they? Any particular reason more people raise coturnix for meat instead of bobwhites?

Coturnix are about the same size and they only take 6 weeks to be full grown vs 16-18 for the Bobwhites.

Ahhh okay I didnt know that. Dont know much about quail at all really.
