Hi, I am fairly new to raising rabbits . So, I have lots of questions to be asked and learning to be done. I have a standard lilac Rex and an American Blue; seven and six months respectively. I am really looking forward to the support I will receive in this forum! It should be good fun.

Welcome to BYC! Where are you located? Do you have other critters besides rabbits? I am just getting started again after selling all 40 of the rabbits i had before moving back to FL to help my parents. Now i am in Virginia. I have a pair of Holland lops, also considering getting some meat rabbits. Back to building hutches and coops. And getting fencing up for goats. Looking forward to seeing pics of other people's pictures of their livestock. Keep us posted with your progress.

Hi there. I live in Minnesota. 40 rabbits! Wow. I'm busy enough with two. We live in town. So, only a dog and two rabbits. My Rex just went through a false pregnancy. Wondering how long this thing lasts. How long should I allow her to keep her mound of straw and fur she has accumulated in her hutch and when I can breed her. Any ideas?

False pregnancy only lasts 16-18 days, so i would say any time she is receptive after that. I never ran across many cases of false pregnancy, but maybe some other rabbit person can answer the question of when to remove nest material. Or, you could do a search on here. Good luck on the next try!
