Medical Care for Chickens?

the only thing we do is preventive maintenence, keep the coop clean, dry, and fresh water at all times, and we feed a good diet of layer feed, some scratch, and treats.. like fresh vegies, table scraps that are not moldy, you don't want to feed anything to them that is moldy.

Every so offen dusting the coop/birds for mites is good, I used to use Diatomaceous Earth aound the coop, but as far as health care just keep them clean, dry & draft free & try to find a avian veterinarian http://www.aav.org/vet-lookup in your area just in case something happens.

I think everyone should have Kwik Stop in case of bloodloss, some tweezers, a extra little cage & heatlamp for sick birds & pedialyte, toe nail clippers (for over grown beaks & nails) a ace bandage/pressure bandage, neosporin & vaseline for leg mites & that covers most of it.
