Medicated Brooder Paper

I am purchasing a used heated brooder. The previous owner uses medicated brooder paper and highly recommends it. I use medicated starter on all my new chicks I hatch.

Is the medicated brooder paper a good idea and where do you buy it?

I haven't used it. It goes in the pan below the wire and the chicks never touch it. At over $1.25 a sheet I think I'll stick with newspaper or feed sacks. Here's a source and a brief explanation.
