I'm sorry, I know this has all been covered in prior posts but I don't what to do. I love this site and all the info it provides but there may be such a thing as too much info. I'm a first timer with 3 ISA Brown chicks about 2 - 3 weeks old. They are doing fine, growing, eating and drinking. I see in the forums here that I should give medicated feed to prevent coccidiosis. But then I see that not everyone does it. I see that some meds are given in the form of feed and some in liquid form. Then I see all sorts of bad things that my birds can catch, worms & parasites of all kinds. I'm going to the feed store today to buy some straw for the coop, can anyone give me some advice?

It's really up to you. If you want to raise them drug free do it. I did not use a medicated starter with my chicks but I did put unpasturized ACV in their water. They are 2 months old doing great. I prefer not to use antibiotics if not needed. Other people may have different views, I don't believe it is necessary.

Thanks for the reply. How much ACV do you add to a gallon of water? Is that just for good gut moicrobes?
