Medicated food

Amprolium is merely a thiamine blocker, that starves cocci. According to the feed company sites, there's no danger to eating the eggs at all.

None the less, I don't feed medicated chick starter to my hens. But, if they happened, for some unknown reason to eat some starter, I'd not panic at all. Just be sure your medicated chick starter contains only amprolium. If you see something else listed, you might email the feed company that produced it and ask.

Do you mean chick starter? I didn't think there was a medicated layer ration that's easily available.

If you're talking chick starter, your pullets should be switched to a layer ration around 17 weeks of age and before they start to lay, so you won't be eating eggs from hens eating medicated feed anyway.

We're about to switch from medicated chick starter to a non-medicated one which is also used for ducks. It took some time to locate it, and now I also know about a supplier who sells organics. If I could do it again, I'd start right away with non-medicated. I found a good link with info. When I find it again, I'll post!

If the medication is Amprolium or Amprol then you're fine eating the eggs. It's not going to cause any harm.

If the medication is Bacitracin or some other active ingredient I'd do some research first. I haven't checked into those myself.
