Medicated or non-medicated chick starter?

I noticed that the second link

Thank you very much for this information. I really appreciate it. I'd like to ask if while you were searching this, did it happen to mention eggs. I understand that poultry would not be organic, but if the chickens came off the feed well before laying, are the eggs organic? Or are the eggs never organic if you fed medicated food or if achicken gets coccidiosis and you have to treat it with amprolium? My specific concern is the eggs as the chickens will not be used for meat.
Amprolium is not considered organic for laying hens and that translates to eggs even if they didn’t start laying until long after the feed is given. But amprolium doesn’t have a withdrawal period and is not an antibiotic. Since you’re not wanting to be certified organic, just wanting to eat the healthiest eggs possible, and you’re okay with kind of fudging the organic guidelines, it is totally up to you to do what you’re comfortable with. Personally I’d give them the medicated feed, but that is just my opinion. You could also add apple cider vinegar to the water as it’s often used as an organic way of boosting the birds’ immune systems and is show in a handful of studies to be very helpful in preventing coccidiosis.
