Medication help

You may end up having to tube feed him if he completely stops eating, you’ll need to get a 60ml syringe with a gastric tube and you’re also going to need a smaller syringe to measure out the baytril, 3ml to 12 ml, tractor supply usually carries them from what I’ve seen.

@casportpony has the best articles of how to tube feed birds.

My sisters a nurse so she can get a lot from her work..he’s eaten more grass than his pellets, but did eat a little and drank some water.

Thank you guy so very much for all your help! I don’t know what I would have done without all your insight and information you have given me. I’ve really learned so much in the last few days!!! 🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼
I’m glad to hear he’s still eating!

This website is full of the most knowledgeable bird owners I’ve found, this is where I learned most of what I know and I’m glad to help when I can, you’ll know as much as I do in no time and be able to pass along that knowledge to others too so welcome to the goose army! We’re glad to have you! 😁

I am absolutely confused on how much medication I’m supposed to be giving him. On the bottle it says
Composition
1ml contains 100mg of Baytril

Then says
Dosage
10mg of Baytril kg body weight per day
CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP???

I wanted to jump in here and ask how the Baytril is working out for your little man? I was looking into getting this for my little girl just to make sure she is safe. I still see a little excess of water when she shakes her head at time to time but it's not affecting her eating or drinking. And have to say I love this community. It's been a blessing coming across you guys

He’s doing good, it worked really good for him. I did have to weigh him daily because he had lost a lot of weight and once he started the medication he started really eating again so he was putting weight on fast. He’d be 5 pounds one day then the next he’d be 6 and so on.
