Recently it was suggested to buy antibiotics from Jedds because they have medications for birds.
Upon going to site to replenish our supply on hand the first thing noticed was the amoxicillin is 10mg. How does that compare to what has been used in the past? Aqua-cef and fish-mox 250mg? It doesnt seem to be efficient to give 25 tablets of 10mg to achieve a dose of 250? That would mean a bottle of 100 would only be 4 doses?? That would raise cost dramatically.
-> this question asked. What medications do ya'll keep on hand for emergencies? And the dosage and what it is used for would be greatly appreciated. Trying get the chicken medicine cabinet replenished, tossing old expired things and replacing. Have a few we never used from a list we went by in the past. Treatments may have changed and certainly so with so many taken away without prescriptions. Thank you for advice!
