New here to the boards, I joined as I'm trying to find a way to keep my cat away from my micro flock. He just killed the first one last night and of course it happend to be my most tamed and favorite plymouth rock [IMG]

Anyone have ideas? I'm wondering if a guard turkey would keep him out.

I would think a big turkey or rooster would do thr trick.
My chciekns and cat get along fine. The cat is an indoor/outdoor and see me spending time with the chickens and loving them so they know not to touch them.
I do worry about the wild cats running around though. Have not had any problems yet.

Sorry to hear about your PR. My PR was my favorite and I was devistated when I lost her earlier this year.

Sorry to hear about your loss.

I agree with the others, an adult roo or full-grown chickens will chase the cats and small dogs.
