while I'm holding out for a girl, I'm scared she isn't. LOL I have 4 babies, and 2 baby silkies, and 2 young pullets. So far out of my 4 babies I am pretty positive 2 are boys, 1 girl and Goldie is my wildcard. My 2 silkies are still too young to tell but I'm thinking I have 1 boy, 1 girl (drifts off into an old country song...."two hearts beating wildly, to put it mildly it was love at first sight...." )
OH boy! LOL

My husband said "You need to quit wasting that spinach on those chicks." My reply "I bought it FOR THEM!"

ETA just for FUN!! Here is Goldie when she/he first came home to me! Its easy to see how love at first sight is real! LOL

Sorry she/he??? LOL Is about 6 weeks old. One of the first to start to get a comb, so I've always thought boy. But it stopped growing as she got a little bigger. My other one that I'm very positive is a roo started to grow his comb at the same time and its huge already! LOL Goldie grew faster than all the others, and my older pullets pick on her the most.

LOL .. I do the same..I buy the spinach for the chickens. Especially once it turns cold out there. And, I'm thinking this little one looks like a roo too. Can you have roosters?

Yep! I can keep them all if I want to. Though I have no need for a ton of roosters, I'm not sure I'll get rid of them either. I love them too much already.
We live out in the country so I can have whatever I want, but I want to be sure that if I have a ton of Chickens I can take care of them, so if the feed bill gets too big and I'm not getting too many eggs I might need to make a roast chicken.
