In the area in front of the henhouse door, we dug out and put a pallet in the hole to act as a flood drain, and we put a piece of plyboard over the pallet we walk on so our feet dont fall through the pallet, but our DIY drain didn't do its job, instead, it was so flooded, the plyboard was floating, and the water was almost above my ankles!

That's a lot of water. I love your drain idea. Too bad it didn't work.

We have flooding rain fiscal for tomorrow. Add in the snow melt from our big storm last week and flooding is expected. Fortunately we live on top of a hill. I get some puddling but the worst runs away from me.

Not really bad, we live away from the big cities that are getting tons of cases, whereas we don't seem to have many at all. We also live in the country and only go shopping once a week. It has truly been a sucky year 🙄.

We will spend Christmas Day with our son's family and then come home. I really miss my grandkids this year.

I'm sorry Sue. This year has stunk for a lot of reasons but not seeing your family has to be the worst of them.

This year has definitely been pretty bad for lots of reasons 😭, but I agree with you about not seeing family. Our son's family needs to stay home and not expose our grandson to the virus since he has MD. Our daughter's family isn't traveling anywhere right now. At least we will go have Christmas with our son's family for a few hours 😊.

I think threw last part is what we are all doing right now. Salvage what we can and treasure it all the more.

She lived with us for two years when we all moved here, I really miss our times together. We do FaceTime at least once a month, which is awesome 😍. Today she lost her first tooth and had to call and tell me, it made my day ❤❤
