Beautiful eggs! I like the white ones! I used to always buy white eggs and now if I have to buy I buy brown... and my gals don’t lay white.. so it would be nice to have a white layer.. do Leghorns lay white? I plan to get me some.. and if they do then I’ll have just about every color egg!

Leghorns definitely lay white eggs. They are famous for it.

Yep, she's my beautiful Beetov-Hen. Extremely smart too!

Leghorns are very smart and curious. They can be a challenge for those that are not willing to understand them.

Maybe that's the way I should go! What do you think...would they mix things up a bit in my flock?

They can be hard to find in the states. I think @featherhead007 was looking for them a while ago.

They mix things up in any flock. They're a bit like Leghorns I think: a smaller, super smart bird, that flies well, loves to forage, not keen on being handled, & a fairly decent layer. They are supposed to be non broody but my Goldie stashed 10 eggs under her the 1st time & was up to 5 the 2nd time before I found her nest & robbed her.

Leghorns do not go broody. They lay tons of eggs, tend to have reproductive issues and in my experience, die young.

Campines would be smarter if you wanted less eggs per year and a longer lived lady.

I love mine but quite see they wouldn't be everyone's cup of tea.

I believe they are much noisier than Leghorns as well. My Leghorns were always quiet.
