I just wanted to take a moment to introduce my new ladies. So far so good. There's only a few issues I'm having:
1) Training my dogs to not rush the run and scare the girls. I have cocker spaniels and, as bird dogs, they are a little too interested. It's going to be a slow training process I can tell.
2) Getting Henrietta to go to bed on her own. I currently have to put her in the coop every night. It's getting better. I don't have to chase her down. She's actually letting me pet her and then pick her up and put her on the ramp to the chicken door.
3) Making sure they have an adequate water supply. I have the plastic watering cups attached along a pvc pipe which is attached to a 12-gallon cooler. Well, this morning the cups aren't filling anymore. I've ordered a Little Giant Poultry Fount that should be here tomorrow. Hopefully that works longer than the week that the cups worked.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy the video.
