The real storey. This is Babe. I did a test hatch with my homemade incubator and some eggs from my chickens. My Rooster was 18 weeks at the time. Long storey short, I ended up with only one chick. She is being raised in the house as it is cold here. I keep her with me when I am working from home. She has a desk light that she sits under to be warm. Other than that, she wonders around the desk and keeps me in line.
If you are wondering, her mom is a Production Red form Ideal and her Dad is a White Leghorn. I think it is a pullet. I sure hope so, because we are definitely growing attached to this one.
