First time chicken mom here! My I got my chicks three days ago, there are six total. I have no clue what breeds they are because they were sold to me as a Barnyard Mix. Right now they're one to two weeks old.

I welcome guesses on breed and gender as they grow, so keep the predictions coming! My plan is to use this post to document the journey and see what they grow into!

It will be interesting to see what they will look like when they get older. I see some have feathered feet, so maybe they are Marans or Brahma mixes?

Yes, the three smallest have feathered feet! I was told there are some Easter Eggers possibly, I think those might be the yellow and smudge ones.

I upgraded their cage today! Now that they're nearing 2 & 3 weeks old (on June 2), it was time to give them some more space. I used a large dog crate and some other supplies I had on hand.
