Woke up today and Lucy has doubled in size! Roan has grown but she looks tiny next to her sister

Oh yeah, next thing you'll know you will have two full grown ducks on your hands! I feel like they never stay tiny long lol. Or maybe I'm just missing having ducklings...

Babies are doing well and growing fast! It has been really nice lately so they have been spending the days outside and coming in at night. Lucy has developed a white spot on her neck and I see some white coming in on her wings so I'm no longer sure what kind of duck she is. Roan still only peeps, no honking but her feathers right now suggest she is a female mallard. We shall wait and see!

Babies are doing great! I will try to get a pic if them in the morning. They have joined the flock in the coop and are settling nicely. We did a soft transition. Started by putting the babies in the pen during the day after the adults (chickens & ducks) were let out. That way they could see each other but couldn't get to each other. After about a week I started letting the adults in the pen with the babies in the evening, which is when they get their treat. This made the adults associate the babies with good stuff and kept their interaction time supervised. After about a week of that I started letting the babies free range with the adults during the day. Finally 2 days ago they were allowed to sleep in the coop with the big girls (& roo). Only one of the hens disliked the new additions and went after them a few times. It didn't take long for her to realize they were not a threat to the pecking order. Everyone seems happy. Turns out Roan is a male mallard. His grey feathers are coming in nicely and he is already attempting to fly. I'm not sure what kind of duck Lucy is. She is large, still brown but has a white spot on her neck and white on her wings. Mallards have a green section on their wings. Lucy has this section on hers but it is black instead of green.

They are absolutely adorable. I agree with the others in them only being a few days old.
