I’m sort of new to raising chickens. I had a batch of 6 but due to a pin being left open my made them disappear.

Now I’m starting over again and hoping for the best and lots of eggs . By the way I don’t have 12 chickens it’s 6 chicks at two different angles.I just bought these 2 weeks ago I think I may have 1 male

They are adorable. I can't tell if one is a cockerel or not but would imagine the one with the pronounced crown is the one you wrote of. My EE are about 3 weeks and all show a small crown. I have no idea what sex they are yet, but one is highly suspect. LOL If she starts to crow, I will know for sure. I think at this point I fear only 1 or 2 being pullets and not having enough pullets for them to be social. (I'm not allowed to have roos). I wish you much success on this go around! I have three dogs, one being a 100lb German Shepard. My yorkie has been near me when I clean out the cage, he doesn't seem to be interested, but I still need to keep an eye on all of them. Please keep us posted.
