Zippie - pip to zip in less than 30 minutes - very cool! Zippie then proceeded to rearrange the incubator for the next four hours - a very busy bird. I have one more pipped - but no word yet from the little guy.

That just might be one of the most amazing things I have ever seen! I have about 20 pictures of the entire thing - I will try to put more up later.

I had 5 bantam cochins hatch this past week. 1 came a day after the others. I had to hatch 1 myself and I really didnt think it would make it. But it was up and walking all around the next morning!!

The development as seen through candling is amazing too!

Good luck and congrats!!

There are 25 in the incubator 12 are Barnevelders and 13 are buff orpingtons. Zippie is a Barnevelder. The Buffs are due today and I have two pipping Barnevelders. Zippie is still an only child! He's a little lonesome and is talking to any egg that will talk back and goes back and forth between sitting on them and snuggling with them. He is still rearranging the incubator which is a little nervewracking!

And meet Chick #2! Three more barnevelder pips to go. The Buffs are "due" today/tomorrow - so I expect some more before tomorrow is over! Yay babies!
