Can chicken's eat the white and green part of the melon? It's been around in the 100s so it seems like a good time for melon. Is it safe?

Yes. Mine eat watermelon down to the dark green.

Sugar and salt are not good in any quantity, and chocolate may actually be poisonous. Otherwise, they can eat almost anything you eat. Here's a chart, with some info near the bottom about things that aren't good. (And some people do give their chickens citrus.)

Yes, they will eat down to a paper thin rind.
