Membrane & yolk?

One of my hens just produced a weird membrane and yolk. Have never had anything but perfect eggs from these hens. The other hens layed normal eggs today. The only new situation is I introduced some chicks to the flock and for a few days the hens only ate the chick feed until I solved that problem. The picture is not great; yolk is at 5 o'clock, membrane in center, all on a bed of pine shavings. Occured right as hens went up to roost. Thabks

An occasional soft egg is normal, especially after a bout of stress. It's nothing to worry about and has nothing to do with the hens eating chick starter, some of mine eat it year round.

Thanks. Assumed it was something like that, happy to hear it's not indicative of some sort of problem. BYC is amazing!
