mjjobbins - Your bantams are so pretty! I drove about 100 miles to Memphis yesterday and got a blue roo (BLRW) and some cochin pullets from herechickchick. He was very nice, his house was easy to find and my chicks are beautiful! Did you pick up the hens from the guy in Mason, TN?
What kind were they?

I actually couldn't get back in touch with the man in Mason. I went to get some hens from someone just south of Jackson,TN on Sat. do you know Ada's Country Market on Hwy. 14? It's not very far from Montezuma, TN. Well, this man and his family live just down tne road from there. They had brown sex-links. I got four and they are super sweet. I can walk right up to them and pick them up.​

Hi --this is actually not about chickens--does anyone know of the best local barbecue and live music in Memphis??? I am looking to plan a weekend getaway to visit Beale Street and get some ribs--I thought I would get a local opinion...any suggestions

The Flyer is a great and free local news paper that has some of the best local music events listed every weekend. You could also pick up a copy when you get down here. You can find them at most groceries and gas stations and so forth inside Midtown and Downtown. I hope you have a good trip down here. Enjoy your stay when you get here!
