Just started my "flock" in the past month. Looking forward to doing this. My son and I decided we wanted to give this chicken thing a try. We are true hobbiests!! We have a small coop and we have a variety of birds: 2 Naked Necks, 1 bantam, 1 Americana, and 1 English game hen and one Maran. The Americana and Game hen are laying the others are a bit to young, and the Maran isn't in the coop yet. Picking her up today.

We are in this for the fun of it and to have something to do together.

My wife was against us doing the chicken thing. Well she went out of town for a few days with my daughters and my son and I built the coop while she was gone. :)

as long as you have some naked necks, take the next step and get some showgirls (variety of silkies- with naked necks)
 
I have been a member since 2011, but I've only been seriously considering raising in the last few weeks. I am in Memphis, TN. I am looking to get some juveniles hens in the next few weeks.
