Merging the Flocks

So I have two 2-year old hens and six 3 1/2 month old chicks. The one hen is perfectly fine with them, but the barred rock is aggressive, she even growls at them and goes after them for no reason. I've moved them into the coop together, a wired fence separating it into halves, but the barred rock keeps growling at them and they're terrified of her! Is there anything I can do to help them along? Or will it eventually resolve its self?

Leave them like that for a few more weeks. Your unfriendly hen will get used to them eventually. If she's still aggressive when you merge the 2 groups remove her from the flock for a few days before letting her back in. She will be bumped down a notch in the pecking order then and will hopefully start behaving herself.
