I'm not familiar with scratch. But assuming that it is duckling starter, some ways of introducing food to a reluctant eater are:
1. float some in their water dish
2. make a bit of a paste with it and smear it on the sides of the brooder
3. sprinkle some on a paper towel

these are quite often successful because ducklings are naturally curious and peck away at things in their environment . And once they discover that this substance is palatable, they eat away. Is he alone? If I get a lonely Wood Duck duckling in, I can hardly wait till some Mallards arrive as they are voracious eaters and often demonstrate to the Wood Duck what to do.

I've heard they can be tough to rear. Get small mealworms from the pet store and put them in a small dish with their food mixed in. Also make a paste with their food and water and smear it on the walls of the brooder. They may be eating, but they don't eat much right now so you aren't noticing anything... How old is it.

hes like 3 days old.....his name is Mergy. He seems to be more spry this morning! I have wood ducks in there with him so hes not lonely. Tiff
