Was reading along, then saw how many more pages so skipped to the end to say that "X" is an abbreviation for Christ. Stemming from the New Testament in Greek. I wouldn't say "Xmas", but written is fine.

But still, the real meaning of Christmas is about Jesus Christ. I wouldn't abbreviate Christ, because then that takes away the real meaning of Christmas, even if X is an abbreviation for Christ. Who's even lazy enough to write "X" instead of "Christ"?
