Mesclun greens?

I have some tiny mesclun that I grew inside but put too much in the container and it's rootbound. It will not get any larger. Since it's not really big enough to serve on the dinner table, is it ok to give these greens to chickens? Also, my chicks are between 6 and 9 weeks old. Are they too young for some treats?

as long as they have grit to grind the tough greens with it should be fine.
