Hi all,
I bought shelled corn not realizing it's different than cracked corn. My girls don't seem to like it - maybe because it's too hard? Any suggestions of what to do with shelled corn? My food processor can't crack it - it's too hard. Should I soak it or boil it? Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks!

i'd try to soak it and then boil it...serve it to them warm for the chilly winter mornings...

Mine eat it with no problem. It's actually better than cracked corn which starts losing it's nutrients once it's been cracked. If they aren't used to it, it may just take them a few days to get used to it.

Keep it in front of them. If you can get them used to it is much better than cracked because none of the volitale oils will be lost which is what they need in colder weather.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I'll keep trying to give it to them. If that doesn't work, I'll try soaking/cooking it. I feel a little silly trying to take back a $4.99 bag of corn and I don't recall seeing cracked corn. So I just want to make this work. Thanks again for th suggestions. I'll have to look up the recipe for Indian pudding.
