Messed up vent!!!!

A hen that I just recently got is having some problems. Her vent is swolen and clogged up with fecis is what it seems to look like. I have rinsed her vent with warm water to see what I could do and nothing happened. She has been able to poop, but it looks really bad. I was just hoping that someone could help me.

I believe that it is avian influenza. Could this be a possibility?

When you say the droppings look "really bad" could you give a description?

I have found out that it is a prolasped vent. We tried to clean it out last night and we are tring to find a vet in our area who will work on her for us.

I gave her some p-H and some petroleum jelly. It helped a lot!
