Messing w/ Hen Nesting

I don't see any feathers - interesting. Has she pulled any breast feathers?

Mine do not appear to pull breast feathers. Broody patch still evident.

Egg eleven.

Hen starting to cluck. Clutch such be set today or tomorrow with initiation of incubation. I think clutch will contain 12 eggs by that time.

She went broody. Did she produce egg 12 before doing so?

Hmmmm....she began clucking around 7:53am according to your post. I would say yes, she laid another egg

I have not been able to make enough observations on hens at this point in cycle to know if hen consistently produces egg on day she goes broody.

Well, you could check....or are you totally hands off with a broody?

I can check her tomorrow as will have to come home to meet a contractor over lunch. I will be able to call her off nest then.
