About two weeks ago I had an egg-bound hen. That was successfully dealt with by soaking her tush in warm water/epsom salts and adding more calcium/magnesium to her diet, but she had a prolapsed vent for about a week after that. With another soak or two, it went back in, but she still has a very messy bottom (her bottom feathers are all caked with white waste) and is constantly dripping clear liquid. At first she could move around with no problem, and had a normal appetite, but she is starting to seem less perky. Could this be an infection? What should I do about it if she does have one? Advice gratefully received!
