Metal roofing

Hi- we are just completing our run. The run itself is built on a platform that ranges between 1 and 3 1/2 feet above the ground . It is 6 feet tall the sides and 1/2 of the top are covered with 1/2 hardware cloth. The remaining half of the top will be covered with 2. 6 foot x 3 ft metal roofing panels. Question what to do about the gaps that are about an inch or 2 high where the upper part of the ridges on the panels are? I want to keep this area a fortress so the girls can be outside when we are not home and not get eaten.

Get a roll of chicken wire. It is easy to cut and staple to the run frame to close small gaps. If you are paranoid or detail oriented then you can cut small plywood strips to close up the gaps. Sparrows like to get into my run through small openings and make a nest where that can find a spot.
