metal water overflowing

If your waterer is like mine, it has a handle attached at the top. You probably have a pinhole somewhere around where the handle is attached, causing a loss of the vaccume seal. Fill the top part of the waterer up(Handle down) and set it so you can see if water is dripping out. If it's leaking, you may be able to repair it using epoxy, just coat the inside area where the handle attaches.
