Metzer Farms???

hi,

I just ordered some ducklings from Metzer farms, and i forgot to ask everyone how they even liked metzer farms. how was the health of you birds and stuff? did they look happy?, Healthy? I'm just scared that they won't come healthy!

I was very happy with the 12 Golden 300 hybrid layer ducks I ordered in May. They were very vigorous as soon as I opened the box.

If you didn't pay a little extra for the "gro-gel" to be put into the package, you should call them and add it on. I think it really helped the little ducks survive 48 hours in the mail. They had completely consumed it all when I opened the box.

It's a gel that has water, vitamins and electrolytes in it for new hatches to eat. McMurray sells too. You just add water and put it on top of their food.

Does anyone know? If I need it I would like to know if I involves my ducklings health.

You don't need it but it would help and they would enjoy it to. Without it they wont necessarily be unhealthy just not as healthy as they could be.
