I got some EE's from Meyer hatchery a couple of days ago and in their description they said that theirs breed true. Has anyone bred them and gotten the same chicken as the parents?

Reading their description, and looking at how many colors of chickens are in the photos, I think "breed true" just means that you can breed Easter Eggers to Easter Eggers and get more Easter Eggers.

They have many other kinds of "eggers," and quite a few of those desctiptions say "This breed is a hybrid. Hybrids are created by crossing two different parents and will not breed true."

So I think they are using "breed true" in a somewhat loose sense, to tell whether the offspring would fit the same description they are giving on the page. The Easter Eggers will probably not produce chicks who look exactly like the parents, but they will at least be Easter Eggers.
