Meyer Hatchery Chicken pics anyone??

The ex leghorn didn't make it. One of the chipmunk ones (SS or Wellie) and the blue ameraucana still aren't as spunky as the rest. The black ones (Americana, cuckoo marans, and light brahma) are going to be the trouble makers of the group. I'm disappointed in myself for not taking pictures. My first order had pictures taken nonstop for the first few weeks!

All 10 of our girls are doing well. We have already put 8 of them in the barnyard with the big girls. Only the 2 smallest are still in a grow out pen. The yard is big enough that no one messes with them. They transitioned very easily with little problem. The SL cochin is by far the friendliest of the group (center bottom pic) she constantly walks up to be held. I didn't get to spend a lot of time with them so for the most part they are big touch-me-nots.

Sorry, it sucks to lose them. I am sure you have already been told but electrolytes can help perk them up. Our GL polish was touch last year and it def. helped.

Thanks! I do have electrolytes in their water. You can instantly see a difference once they really start drinking. Keeping my fingers crossed for the other two.

That's where my feed store buys from... I got 2 EE's from there, a White Silkie (still don't know male or female) and my 2 Cream Brabanters.

Not a good pic but that's my 2 EE's on left at 12 weeks old. I can get an updated pic. They're 16 weeks old now
Cool coop and roosts!

Are the new girls sleeping in the grow out pen or in the big coop?

The big coop. We moved them out there this week. They still sleep in a pile in a corner away from the ducks, only 2 come inside in a crate. The coop is a 8x12 barn with perches and shelves. All the big chickens and the 2 scovies sleep on the perches and shelves, the other ducks sleep on the floor in the straw. We also have 2 smaller houses that a few birds sleep in. The "barnyard" is 40x90 so they have plenty of room to run and avoid the others with lots of things to hide under.

Nice to see all the baby chick pics, so cute! Good luck to everyone.

Just wanted to post a few pics of me with our RIR Roo, Rojo, who is only 17 weeks in this pic. He is going to be huge, I think. He is really starting to come into his feathering, he works great with our alpha buff orph roo. They work in tandem with calling back and forth and alerting everyone to suspected dangers.

He's huge! Our rooster is 21 weeks old and I don't think he's that big.

In rare breed assortment can you get a gold laced wyndotte? I have one with this order and I'm not sure what it is. Could be an EE but has yellow legs, could be a barnavelder but does not seem to have a strait comb. Any ideas?
