Meyer Hatchery Chicken pics anyone??

Had to share a pic of one of our Polish. Sorry the chicken wire is in the pic. I had a perfect pic of her and accidentally erased it. :/

We have had so much rain here (CO) their pen has puddles all over it and the polish were having a hard time staying dry. Except one of them was apparently smarter because her crest was completely dry.

Man your story makes me so scared to let my girls out at all. I'll definitely arm myself with an air gun while they are free ranging so we can scare anything off. I wish I could trust my dogs with the chickens so they could protect them. I'm wondering now if it really was our dogs that attacked Amber. After we found that large puncture wound I started wondering. We have seen both dogs carry around little chicks like they are toys but we've never seen them bother our larger girls (like Amber) so I'm not sure. We'll never know.

Olivia looks just like Amber. I love that style EE!
If you get a chance can you post a picture of Amber? I'd love to see what she looks like now.

Oreo had a large hole in her back from the dog attack, so maybe it still could have been from a dog? Could it have been from a stray dog?

She's so pretty, but looks a little upset in this picture though.

(Oops, I did not realize I could not say that, sorry)

LOVE that pic!
Holy cow... I didn't know you were in CO! I hope you and your family are safe and far from the horrific flooding.

LOL ... you got censured!! I guess you were trying to say peeved or angry? or did you censure yourself?

I just love her little hair do!! She looks pretty upset about being wet though. Lol

Well it looks like I'm screwed when it comes to this whole hawk situation... We can't afford to build a covered run big enough for my 23 chickens, and I can't keep them closed inside forever. The hawk seems to like to come at my girls in the morning, so I am going to sit in the un-mowed grass right next to my barn with two trash can lids. If the hawk comes I'll start banging them together and yell like crazy in hopes that it scares it off for good. If that doesn't work I don't know what I'm going to do...

Thankfully we aren't near any flooding. We have a friend whose basement is flooded and the park we were just at a few weeks ago is completely under water.

Here are the most recent pics I have of Amber. I can get more tomorrow if you want to see something specific.

These 2 boys were suppose to be girls, someone forgot to tell them it was an all girls party

These are Jacob and Edward, I let the granddaughters name a few of the girls but the youngest insisted on 3 Jacob, Edward and Bella, ummm wonder where those names came from................lol

Looks like a Barnevelder pullet to me. :) Maybe Dark Cornish, but her face makes me think Barnevelder. She's a pullet, either way.
Buff orpintons? and blue laced red wyndotte?
Buff Orpington on the left, BLRW on the right. Cockerels, obviously.

Bella is a red sexlink. Meyer calls theirs Golden Buff, I believe.

She stands so tall for a pullet. Her coloring is very similar to mine though. Olivia is much closer to the ground.

My daughter would love those names too. You're going to have some gorgeous roosters. I am curious about what breeds your chickens are, I'd help, but I am new at this chicken thing too.

I think some of your guesses sound right to me. Looks like maybe a Partridge Rock in there too. I really want to know what that hen in the first pic is, so pretty. There all good looking chickens and a large variety, I love variety.
