Meyer Hatchery Chicken pics anyone??

Here are my Meyer girls at 2 weeks and 5 days old (on their first outing in their run)

They are in a 8x10 coop in our barn but free range in our backyard from 830am till dark. They get chick starter, oats, frozen peas and corn, scratch (they steal it from the silkies) and whatever we get from the produce stand for the animals, we usually get them squash, tomatoes, peppers, zucchini, cucumbers, apples, watermelon, peaches and plums ( I always remove the pits before I give it to them) the only plants in the yard is a potted orange & palm tree. My husband knows not to do anything chemically near the backyard and it's been over 9 months since weed killer was sprayed in the yard (we did it before we had chickens)

So sorry to hear about your chicks. I am new at this, so I can't help but I hope that you discover what is going on with them.

I have 8 total, and yes, these are my first chicks. If I had know how much fun they are, I would have gotten some a long time ago!

They are a lot of fun. I really wished I had gotten mine sooner. I have had mine since February of this year, so not much longer then you. I have 22 chickens now. 3 different ages.

I do regret too that I did not get chickens while my kids were younger, it would have been a great experience for them. I guess my future grandchildren will benefit from the experience instead.

Do you worm them regularly? You might want to look up the symptoms of mareks, cocci (can't spell it), and other common chicken diseases, the clear fluid sound like it may have been crop problems, but I know nothing about that. You might want to get your remaining ones on antibiotics, but what you give them should be determined on what the others died of, hopefully someone with knowledge will come on and help. Otherwise try posting in the emergencies part. I always ask about worming because not only can worms kill, but a chicken even with a moderate worm load is more susceptible to whatever's going around.

Came home from work today to a very horrified husband- apparently our young roo had been breeding our young hens all afternoon!! He says they were not all the most compliant of partners let's hope all this sexual maturity means that we will get a few eggs before the light and weather really get terrible.

It's been awhile since I've been on here, hope everyone and their chicks are doing good. Mine have gotten huge (they will be 10 weeks tomorrow) but I lost my GLP a few days ago and just this morning I found my frizzle dead. I was kinda hoping you guys could help me figure out what's going on. My polish was fine till about 2 days before she died, then all of a sudden she just kinda hung out in one spot. Wouldn't really roam around with everyone else then the last day she just stood in one spot with her eyes closed. I came home from work and found her laying under a chair in the yard with liquid coming out of her mouth and about 15 mins later she started flapping her wings like crazy and more liquid was coming out of her mouth and she died. I didn't see her eat but I did see her drinking that last day. My frizzle has been acting a little weird but he was running around eating and drinking with everyone else so I figured he just missed Hoda (the GLP) cause they were best friends. I tried looking around to see if I can find what is going on but I couldn't. You guys have any ideas?I

I'm still so new I haven't dealt with any illnesses yet. How is the rest of your flock now? Did you post in the Emergency/Disease section? Everything I read makes it seem like chickens are so good at hiding illness we don't realize anything is wrong until it's to late. I'm so sorry you lost those two and hope the rest are ok.
