Meyer Hatchery Chicken pics anyone??

Has anyone else noticed a high ratio of switch-a-ROOS? I am starting to think that 3 out of 4 of my LBLeghorns and 2 out of 4 of my golden buff and one of my EEs are all roos! If they are, that would be 6 out of 11 mistakes!!!

Any other experiences would be great?

Ours are only a week old today but I'm pretty sure one of our cochins is a roo. Too early to tell on the rest. I'll be keeping an eye out though!
They say it's a 10% chance but you've gone way over that! How old are your chicks?

I have not had this issue. Although I only ordered 4, they're all girls.

Last year our SL cochin turned out to be a roo. Luckily it was the only time it has happened. Some breeds may be harder to sex than others, I'm just not sure which ones it would be besides the bantams. Hopefully, fingers crossed, you don't have all roos TaraBellaBirds.

Thanks everyone. I am hoping that I am wrong,

I do know that LBL have large combs at young ages so maybe..... I will give them a few weeks but if they continue to be "rooish" their future is bleak

Loving the pics of all the new babies. Our ducklings will arrive this week, tomorrow hopefully! Our chicks won't be shipping till June so will enjoy the hatchlings and ducklings till then.

On a side note here are some updated pics of our babies that hatched a little over a month ago. They both took after papa 100%. Plus one of our Muscovy ducks and our Meyer Salmon Faverolle, Daisy, are sitting on eggs together. Well actually, Daisy sits on the nest and Liath the duck crawls under Daisy to sit on the eggs. So Daisy is sitting on Liath who is sitting on the eggs.

How old are your little ones? If you can post pictures, I'd be glad to help you identify any boys in the set. I highly doubt they would have mistakes when it comes to the golden buffs, though, as those are sexlinks and the males and females are completely different colors at hatch. If they're all red, they're all girls. Boys are white. Also, I had a few people telling me my LBL was a boy, but she was not. Leghorns have large combs and they begin developing early even on the pullets, so you may just be seeing that.

Here's Whiri at various stages so you can compare (ETA Whiri is my LBL, of course) :

3 weeks old. I knew 100% she was a girl at this point, because boys feather in differently:

And now, 10 months old. :)

That happened to my first order with only one. My Delaware pullet from Meyer turned out to be a roo.

They are cute. I love that you have a poultry pile siting on eggs. LOL. Do you have any pics of your salmon faverolle? I'd love to see her. I added one to my order in May.
